Fun STEM Activities – Building a robot

STEM Education Community

Builders of all ages will love building and coding their fully functional robot to walk, talk

STEM, a hot topic in education

STEM moved beyond simple test performance and it is now focused on developing higher-level thinking skills by connecting classroom learning to the real world. Emphasizes collaboration, communication, research, problem solving, critical thinking and creativity skills that students need to be successful in today’s world regardless of specific interests or career goals. STEM is a direct response to the realization that our future will be built on our ability for innovation invention and creative problem-solving.

STEM, a hot topic in education

STEM refers to the four disciplines: science, technology, engineering, and math. The four disciplines that are vital to the next generation of jobs in our economy. These disciplines are the building blocks of our economy and are important skills to learn even beyond college. Advanced Harmony is committed to building STEM activities designed to help children learn to solve problems, think critically, and be creative.

Unfortunately, public school system is falling behind today’s level of robotics, coding, and technology. Among all industrialized nations we are already seeing how much more difficult is to remain competitive in the global economy.

AHA is looking to team up with enthusiasts, portents, and youth to create the STEM Education Digital Library, a comprehensive resource of STEM education resources.

STEM Program Objective

AHA is looking to team up with enthusiasts, portents, and youth to create the STEM Education Digital Library, a comprehensive resource of STEM education resources. A site to provide access to hundreds of resources, including lesson plans and teaching tools, videos, publications, and curriculum materials. The site also features a searchable database of graduate programs in STEM.

The STEM Ambassador Program will act as a global outreach program designed to increase student interest in all fields of science, technology, engineering, and math. The program provides tools and resources to students, educators, and mentors to use to raise awareness of STEM career opportunities.

Our goal is to offer a lot of resources to help students and educators to learn more about STEM. You can find lesson plans, professional development, and more. The site also features a STEM Education Community, where educators and learners can learn about STEM education opportunities and interact with other STEM educators.

Kids Building a robot

Builders of all ages will love building and coding their fully functional robot to walk, talk, and even play games or complete tasks! An educational robot toy makes engineering fun for everyone who builds it. With an app for smartphones and tablets, children can code their creations by just snapping on their smart blocks. It is a fun way to learn the basics of coding and engineering!

The design of this robot needs to be incredibly unique. For example, it should have a moving head, arms, and legs. A special sensor that detects if its head is touched or tilted. It can say several sentences and has several other fun functions. The robot can also move around and change the direction of its head. Robots are fun toy to build. There are over 100 pieces to put together. We love this idea of a unique robot and cannot wait to see what new models are coming out.

Food Sustainability

A hydroponics system using a STEM to grow microgreens. To make a system that would water itself using a moisture sensor and the moisture sensor can tell if the soil is dry or wet and then if it’s dry it will water it and then if it is wet. How does the program control the entire system? The soil motor sensor takes the reading, and it sends it in to the Arduino and the Arduino says if the soil moisture sensor reading is below a certain amount of moisture then it is going to send a signal over to the pump. The relay is practically a switch that communicates with the Arduino which is that and which also communicates to a pump which transmits water through the um dry or wet soil. It is so fun to watch what a difference such project makes in terms of students and their understanding of how electronics and tech works they really do pick it up quite quickly, it is a lot of fun.

Coding for kids

Have you ever wanted to code games or apps? Coding is seen as this hard to learn and understand subject, but if you think of it in a unique way, it really is not that hard. We have been teaching programming since 2007. Some of our volunteers in addition to running a software company, being a software developer, they also teach people what they know. We have had a lot of experience with teaching Children, and we feel that now is the time to give the most comprehensive course on teaching Children how to code. The easiest way to get kids to reach their full potential is to make habit a success. We are working on a course that shows kids how to code without making it really complicated. In this tutorial, we are going to show them a little bit about how a computer works and a little bit about programming. When you are computer programming, you are making sure that you can tell the computer, do something this could be, calculate an equation, display results, draw a character – essentially telling the computer to do something. There are three distinct kinds of languages. There’s HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. In some ways, it’s like having different languages. So, HTML would be like English. CSS would be like French, and JavaScript would be something like Spanish. Each programming language does something a little bit different in the computer world, and we would like to show kids how they can be used to build fun, interactive robots, and games.
